Our mission is to help you and your entire family know, love and serve Jesus Christ. We believe that every person was fearfully and wonderfully created by God and we want to help you grow deeper in your relationship with Him. We are a nondenominational church, but that doesn’t mean we’re opposed to denominations. We simply work to avoid any over-emphasis of nonessential doctrinal differences that sometimes lead to divisions in the body of Christ. The following is a list of our ten core beliefs (plus a special eleventh if you read to the end). Please don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Kenny if you have any questions.

We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings. We also believe these are the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of all people and the divine and final written authority for all Christian faith and life.
- II Peter 1:20-22
- I Thessalonians 2:13
- II Timothy 3:15-16

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and makes himself available to guide and directs the believer in all things. We believe He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- Genesis 1-2
- Deuteronomy 6:4
- Matthew 5:48
- Matthew 28:19

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having existed prior to his earthly birth and, as detailed in the gospels, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary. He lived on earth for 33 years, ministered for 3½ years, and was then crucified as a willing sacrifice for our sins. He physically rose from the dead three days later and, weeks after, ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of the Father and serves as both our High Priest and Advocate.
- Matthew, Mark, Luke & John
- Acts 2:23-24
- Romans 5:9
- Hebrews 8:1
- Philippians 2:6-11
- I Peter 3:18

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to guide, convict and regenerate the believing sinner, as well as indwell, instruct and empower each of us for godly living and service.
- John 14:15-18, 16:7-11,13
- Acts 1:8
- Romans 8:26
- I Corinthians 12:4-11

We believe that humans were created in the image of God but fell short of His glory through sin and disobedience. As a result, we became separated from Him and lost in darkness. However, God made a path to salvation available through Jesus Christ and the regenerative power of the Holy Spirit. We can now go directly to God and receive eternal life through His Son. God desires all people to be saved and He makes it as easy as possible to accept Jesus, confess our sins and receive forgiveness.
- Genesis 1:27
- Romans 3:23
- I Corinthians 15:20-23
- I Timothy 2:4

We believe that the sacrifice and shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection three days later provide the only ground for justification and salvation to all those who choose to believe. We believe that only those who accept and receive Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior are reborn of the Holy Spirit and adopted into the kingdom as children of God.
- Romans 6
- Galatians 3:26-29
- Titus 3:4-7

We believe that God has made a provision through the redemptive work of Jesus that allows for physical, emotional and mental healing in the mortal body. We believe this was available to the apostles and believe it continues to be a gift of the Spirit that is available to believers. Prayer for the sick is frequently taught in Scripture and is a privilege for the Church in our present age.
- Matthew 8:16-17
- Matthew 11:28-30
- James 5:6, 13-16

We believe the true Church consists of all those who believe in Jesus, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which he commissioned to go into all the world, preaching the Gospel to all nations. Each local church is simply a body of believers who are joined together in worshipping God, studying His Word, fellowshipping, praying together, ensuring new believers have access to baptism, sharing communion as a body, and spreading the gospel to all nations.
- Matthew 28:19-20
- Acts 2:41-47
- Ephesians 1:22-23

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the larger worldwide Church. We also believe that God has blessed each local church with the ability and authority under Christ to prayerfully determine and govern its own affairs. Decisions at TGSM are at the discretion of the lead pastor, with the help of his advisory board and input of his staff members.
- Ephesians 5:23-27, 29-30
- Colossians 1:24-27
- Hebrews 12:22-24

We believe in Jesus Christ’s eventual return and that this “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the life and service of every Christian. We also believe with his return will come the resurrection of those who’ve passed away. Those who have accepted Jesus will be judged but be declared good and faithful servants. We will obtain everlasting blessedness, perfect joy and eternal life with the Lord. However, those who have not accepted Jesus will be judged and sent away into everlasting punishment.
- Luke 21:27
- John 5:28-29
- I Corinthians 15:20-23
- Hebrews 10:37
- Titus 2:11-14

Finally, for those of you who are new to TGSM or our website, we believe that God has called us to be a safe, encouraging church home. And we take that calling very seriously. Many of you reading this may be skeptical or cautious. Perhaps you’ve been hurt at another church and you’ve heard this sentiment before, only to have people you trust fail you and injure your family. We believe regardless of your past or previous experiences, God wants to surround you with kind, patient brothers and sisters in Christ who genuinely love and care for you; people who are alert to how easily a church can become a place that hurts rather than helps. We know choosing a place of worship can be extremely difficult. Try us. Talk to us. Ask us the hard questions! We would love to meet you and be a part of your walk with Jesus, and we would love to honor whatever trust you place in us.
- John 3:16-17
- Romans 3:22-26, 8:1-39
