We believe that every person was fearfully and wonderfully made, and our desire is to help you and your family better know, love and serve Jesus Christ. We are a nondenominational church, but that doesn’t mean we’re opposed to denominations. We simply work to avoid any over-emphasis of nonessential doctrinal differences that sometimes lead to divisions in the body of Christ.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe the Old and New Testaments are the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of all people and the divine and final written authority for all Christian faith and life.
  • II Peter 1:20-22
  • I Thessalonians 2:13
  • II Timothy 3:15-16
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and makes himself available to guide and directs the believer in all things. We believe He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  • Genesis 1-2
  • Deuteronomy 6:4
  • Matthew 5:48, 28:19
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having existed prior to his earthly birth of a virgin, Mary.  He was crucified as a willing sacrifice for our sins and then physically rose from the dead three days later. After then ascending into heaven, he sits at the right hand of God and serves as our High Priest and Advocate.
  • Matthew, Mark, Luke & John
  • Acts 2:23-24, Romans 5:9 & Hebrews 8:1
  • Philippians 2:6-11 & 1 Peter 3:18
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to guide, convict and regenerate the believing sinner, as well as indwell, instruct and empower each of us for godly living and service.
  • John 14:15-18, 16:7-11,13
  • Acts 1:8 & Romans 8:26
  • I Corinthians 12:4-11
We believe humans were created in the image of God but fell through sin. We have been separated from Him. However, He offers us salvation through Jesus Christ and the regenerative power of the Holy Spirit. We can now go directly to God and receive eternal life through His Son.
  • Genesis 1:27
  • Romans 3:23, I Corinthians 15:20-23 & 1 Timothy 2:4
We believe that the sacrifice, shed blood and resurrection of Jesus provide the only grounds for justification and salvation to those who accept and receive him as Savior. Believers are reborn in the Spirit and adopted into the kingdom as children of God.
  • Romans 6
  • Galatians 3:26-29
  • Titus 3:4-7
We believe that God has made a provision through the redemptive work of Jesus that allows for healing in the mortal body. We believe this continues to be a gift of the Spirit that is available to believers. Prayer for the sick is frequently taught in Scripture and is a privilege for the Church in our present age.
  • Matthew 8:16-17, 11:28-30
  • James 5:6, 13-16
We believe the true Church consists of all those who believe and are redeemed by the blood of Jesus and are born again of the Holy Spirit.  Christ is the Head of the Church, which he commissioned to go into all the world to spread the Gospel. Local churches are individual bodies of believers that assemble together for worship, prayer, study, fellowship, baptism and communion.
  • Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-47
  • Ephesians 1:22-23
We believe that God has blessed each local church with the ability and authority under Christ to prayerfully determine and govern its own affairs. Decisions at TGSM are at the discretion of the pastor, with the help of his advisory board and staff.
  • Ephesians 5:23-27, 29-30
  • Colossians 1:24-27
  • Hebrews 12:22-24
We believe in Jesus Christ’s eventual return. This “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the life and service of every Christian. We also believe with his return will come the resurrection of those who’ve passed away. Those who have accepted Jesus will be judged but be declared good and faithful servants. We will obtain everlasting blessedness, perfect joy and eternal life with the Lord. However, those who have not accepted Jesus will be judged and sent away into everlasting punishment.
  • Luke 21:27 & John 5:28-29
  • I Corinthians 15:20-23, Hebrews 10:37 & Titus 2:11-14
Finally, for those of you who are new to TGSM, we believe that God has called us to be a safe, encouraging church home, and we take that calling very seriously. Many of you may be skeptical or cautious. Perhaps you’ve been hurt at another church and you’ve heard this kind of sentiment before, only to have people you trust fail you and injure your family. We believe regardless of your past or previous experiences, God wants to surround you with kind, patient believers who genuinely love and care for you; people who are alert to how easily a church can become a place that hurts rather than helps.
  • John 3:16-17
  • Romans 3:22-26, 8:1-39
We know choosing a place of worship can be extremely difficult. Try us. Talk to us. Ask us the hard questions! We would love to meet you and be a part of your walk with Jesus, and we would love to honor whatever trust you place in us.
